About the Artist

I have been a professional artist for over 45 years. I spent the first part of my career in Salina, Kansas, where I worked at the Salina Art Center and also operated a studio, The Upstairs Gallery, with two other artists.

I currently live near Lawrence, Kansas with my husband, Tom Schmiedeler, where I work and teach art classes in my studio. I am now retired, but I still enjoy teaching drawing classes for the OSHER Lifelong Learning Institute.
