About the Art

A painter for many years, I have always been captivated by the beauty of the land and our place in it. Drawing upon the history of ancient cultures, my art weaves together the textures of old and new, time and place, the conscious and unconscious.

Finding inspiration in nature, I have incorporated it into my works using a variety of media and techniques, from pastels, acrylics, oils, lithography, and mono-prints to collages of natural objects.

My work, whether a simple landscape or an intricate collage, strives to connect us to the land, our history, and most importantly, ourselves.

Inspiration From Afar

Barbara has been inspired by Paul Cézanne since her days as a young artist. This summer, she was lucky enough to visit his famous studio in Aix-en-Provence, France. Read about her amazing experience!

What collectors are saying...

“I love Barbara's work because it comes from a place of deep experience . . . the work is inspirational, grounding, and has a complexity which makes it never boring hanging on the wall, even years later. I find it evocative and healing.”

Rita Stucky, Psychologist
